Pictures for Progress
This program uses murals to beautify neighborhoods and to turn walls into foundations for economic and social improvement.  The program works by bringing together businesses, non-profit organizations, and artists to paint murals that enrich the community, improve the financial and physical well-being of citizens, and graphically express positive visions of community, civic-engagement, and service.

By providing a way for community members to co-participate with the development of their neighborhoods and cities, and by visually representing ideas such as generosity, compassion, and volunteerism, we hope to foster a greater sense of civic and social responsibility, a greater sense of community pride, and a greater sense of social connection.

In addition to the benefits of local participation and inclusion, the murals also help to aesthetically improve public spaces and foster higher economic activity and increased pedestrian satisfaction.

Business Sponsors:
Building owners that have blank wall space and would like to participate in the Pictures for Progress program should contact Director@arthouseunited.com
for an official program and benefit description.

Charity Organizations:
Qualified non-profit organizations with missions supporting the arts, community, education, and the environment are eligible to participate in the Pictures for Progress program. As participants, non-profits will receive funding for their mission, gain valuable visibility in the community to draw attention to their cause, and they will also be able to allow their members to participate in the design and production of the mural.  Under the guidance of lead artists, adults and children alike can join together in the design and production of the mural, thereby collaborating with the community to strengthen social bonds, increase civic engagement, boost neighborhood pride, and learn valuable skills that can improve education, communication, and social responsibility.
